THE MINES AWARENESS TRUST
Funk Da Rock
Funk Da Rock (FDR) is a regular music event that takes place at the Half Moon Cafe in Guernsey. FDR has been running since 2007 and raises money for the Mines Awareness Trust (MAT).
FDR began because there was a niche in the market to organise regular gigs with both live and electronic acts. A variety of local bands a DJ's play have played at FDR free of charge to support MAT.
FDR is sponsored by Cenkos CI. We are extremely grateful for their support. It allows all proceeds from the door to go direct to MAT!
Since January 2008 FDR has raised over £14,000 for MAT.
September 19th FDR has invited the blues band, Spoonful to play alongside local hip hop band, Asylum Seekas. It will be held at the Half Moon Cafe as per usual and £6 entry all going direct to MAT!Watch the FDR video to see what it's all about!
