THE MINES AWARENESS TRUST
Art Exhibition - 100 Days
In November 2008, the professional artist, Jason Butler travelled to Rwanda to portray the work of MAT and the day to day life in Rwanda on canvas.100 Days will be at The Gallery, 9-11 Mansell Street, Guernsey
Wednesday 4th - Tuesday 24th March
This exhibition is aimed to educate people about the MAT operations in Rwanda, our Mine Detection Dogs and the manual mine clearance.
Rwanda is soon to become a landmine impact free country and so an art exhibition is a great way to depict this success.
HSBC Private Bank are kindly sponsoring this event. MAT and Jason are grateful for this, as this art project is the first of its kind for MAT. It could not be achieved without the help from HSBC Private Bank.
Jason says:
"It is an incredible opportunity to work on a project that will raise money and awareness for a fantastic organisation like MAT.
The past and future of Rwanda is extremely interesting and will ensure a challenge, but one I am really looking forward to. Hopefully myself and the team at MAT can put on a series of exhibitions, talks and workshops which will educate, intrigue and entertain."
